New Emergency Text Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The 112 Emergency Calling Answering Services (ECAS) allows you to text in an emergency situation, if you need the Gardai, Ambulance or Fire Brigade, text 112
Text the word “REGISTER” to 112 – they will text you back asking you to go to their website
You need to register your details at www.112.ie
The IDS recommends you register your details ASAP as you may need to use this service in the future
